This was our first diving cruise, and honestly, we couldn't have chosen better: an unforgettable week aboard the Alsuraya, from August 15th to 22nd, 2026, with our guide Ahmed.
We landed in Marsa Alam and had a very short transfer to the port.
Official check-in was at 4:00 PM, but since we arrived in time for lunch, we took the opportunity to eat at the "Divino" restaurant in Marsa Alam: excellent, affordable, and affiliated with the boat.
The first evening, we stayed in port so we could stroll around the center; on the last day, however, we disembarked in the afternoon and evening after dinner.
We had the panoramic suite: spacious, comfortable, and always spotlessly clean.
The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bathroom was stocked with soap and towels, and there was plenty of space to store our luggage for the entire week.
The kitchen was one of the nicest surprises of the trip.
Breakfast and lunch were buffet style, with a wide selection (sweet, savory, fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, and vegetarian options).
Gourmet dinners were served every evening, each different and truly surprising in quality and presentation.
Unlimited water, soft drinks, and coffee were included in the price.
No alcohol was served on board, but those who wished could purchase it at the Marsa Alam duty-free shop on the day of arrival and enjoy it while on board.
Our guide, Ahmed, was simply perfect: professional, attentive to safety, very clear in his briefings, and always available to answer any questions.
The dives were beautiful, the sites well-chosen and organized, and the crew was always ready to help with equipment, logistics, and any other needs.
It was an unforgettable experience in every way: the modern and comfortable boat, excellent food, extremely kind and professional crew, and unforgettable dives.
We highly recommend Alsuraya to anyone looking for a high-quality diving cruise in the Red Sea, whether for the first time or for experienced divers.
We will definitely be back.

I've been on many boats, and I must say that everything here was exactly as expected, and even more. Importantly, they strictly adhere to the rules discussed during the first briefing. The food is delicious. I haven't had anything like it on other boats. It's truly prepared professionally, like in a true 5-star restaurant. Food is a key factor in the overall enjoyment of the trip. Briefings are detailed. Groups board one by one, no one bothers anyone, and there's no rush. All diving equipment is available for rent on the boat and is of good quality. The crew is polite, helpful with getting dressed, and the Zodiacs arrive quickly after launching the buoy. The Zodiacs are large and comfortable, equipped with a ladder. Briefings are very comprehensive. The cabins are clean, and everything works. I recommend this boat for a safari.

I had an incredible experience on the Alsuraya liveaboard during the Aug 8–15 itinerary (Daedalus, Elphinstone, and St. John’s). Michelle made everything easy from the very beginning; super helpful, quick replies, and she handled all the booking details, gear rentals, and transfers so smoothly that I never had to worry about anything.
Once onboard, the crew was just amazing. They genuinely cared about making sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. I have an allergy, and the chef and team were so thoughtful and kind about it. They made adjustments for everyone wherever they could to make sure we had the best vacation. And the food was fantastic; honestly way better than what you’d normally expect on a liveaboard. Every meal felt fresh and made with care.
The boat itself is modern, clean, and really comfortable. The daily routine was organized in a way that made everything feel easy. The crew helped us with gear on and off for every dive, which made getting in and out of the water quick and effortless and allowed us more time to enjoy our trip. You could tell how hard they worked behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
The dive guides were wonderful - fun, welcoming, and full of good energy, but also very safe and professional. I dove with Haitham, and he was truly exceptional. He wasn’t just a guide, he really took the time to teach us. He shared so many helpful pointers and bits of knowledge throughout the week, and you could tell he genuinely cared about helping us improve and feel confident with diving. Our smaller group was less experienced, and he was patient, encouraging, and always paying attention to how we were doing. I felt completely safe and very welcomed, it was a great and comfy balance.
We even got to visit a lighthouse during the trip, which was such a fun bonus. Beautiful sunsets, great food, and a crew that clearly loves what they do! It all added up to an unforgettable week. I will absolutely go back again.

This was my first time living on board, and the week spent on this ship has been one of the best experiences I’ve had.
Absolutely everything was perfect:
- The boat is brand new and of the very highest quality. Everything is very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean at all times. The cabins have en-suite bathrooms, very comfortable beds and are cleaned daily. They have onboard everything you could possibly need, including any kind of medication.
- The food exceeded everyone’s expectations. Chef Mohamed treated us to delicious, home-cooked dishes at every meal – a special mention for the desserts. My partner and I are vegans and we ate incredibly well, with plenty of varied options.
- The crew: wow. They’re like a family who make you feel right at home. They’re always on hand to help and make getting in and out of the water a breeze; they look after you really well at all times and are always smiling. The dive guides, Ahmed and Hitlem, are so fantastic it’s hard to believe. They’re both super professional and great fun. Everything was very well explained and organised; we’ve improved our diving skills a lot, had a brilliant time both in and out of the water, and laughed even more.
I was particularly pleased to see how much they respect the ocean, animals and the environment, and how they were also raising awareness about these issues.
They’ve created the perfect atmosphere and the whole group felt very at ease, we all got on really well, it was very hard to say goodbye. The only downside was that it had to end – I can’t wait to do it all again with them.
Sending hugs to the whole team, and a massive thank you for everything

I just spent a week aboard the Al Suraya; it was my 17th dive cruise. The trip was, in every way, perfect:
– Food: I've never eaten so well in Egypt.
– Diving: The dive sites were perfectly chosen, the organization, timing, and supervision were simply perfect, the service was excellent, the crew were very attentive to our comfort and were always there to help us.
– The boat is very comfortable, spacious enough, super modern, super clean, the cabins and bathrooms are the same as on most other boats in Egypt.
– Atmosphere on board: Finally, a boat where they don't serve alcohol! The atmosphere is all the better for it. For those who love alcohol, it's permitted to bring your own.
In conclusion, a boat that is perfect in every way. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a wonderful week diving, eating like a king in a calm and relaxed atmosphere.
