This was my first time living on board, and the week spent on this ship has been one of the best experiences I’ve had.
Absolutely everything was perfect:
- The boat is brand new and of the very highest quality. Everything is very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean at all times. The cabins have en-suite bathrooms, very comfortable beds and are cleaned daily. They have onboard everything you could possibly need, including any kind of medication.
- The food exceeded everyone’s expectations. Chef Mohamed treated us to delicious, home-cooked dishes at every meal – a special mention for the desserts. My partner and I are vegans and we ate incredibly well, with plenty of varied options.
- The crew: wow. They’re like a family who make you feel right at home. They’re always on hand to help and make getting in and out of the water a breeze; they look after you really well at all times and are always smiling. The dive guides, Ahmed and Hitlem, are so fantastic it’s hard to believe. They’re both super professional and great fun. Everything was very well explained and organised; we’ve improved our diving skills a lot, had a brilliant time both in and out of the water, and laughed even more.
I was particularly pleased to see how much they respect the ocean, animals and the environment, and how they were also raising awareness about these issues.
They’ve created the perfect atmosphere and the whole group felt very at ease, we all got on really well, it was very hard to say goodbye. The only downside was that it had to end – I can’t wait to do it all again with them.

Je viens de passer une semaine à bord del l’Al Suraya il s’agissait de ma 17e croisière de plongée. Le séjour a été en tout. Parfait :
–nourriture : en Égypte, je n’ai jamais aussi bien mangé.
-plongée les sites de plongée étaient parfaitement bien choisi, l’organisation, le timing, l’encadrement était tout simplement parfait, le service excellent les marins étaient très attentifs à notre confort et étaient toujours là pour nous aider.
-le bateau est très confortable, suffisamment grand, super moderne, super propre, les cabines et les salles de bain sont les mêmes que dans la plupart des autres bateaux en Égypte,
–ambiance dans le bateau : enfin un bateau où on ne sert pas d’alcool, l’ambiance n’en est que meilleure, pour les inconditionnels de l’éthanol il est permis d’apporter sa consomation.
Conclusion un bateau en tout points parfait je recommande à quiconque veut passer une belle semaine de plongée manger comme un roi dans une ambiance calme et détendue.

I rarely rate an experience 5 stars, but Al Suraya liveaboard deserves every star.
The seamlessness and support on booking set the tone which continued through the entire experience. The boat is top notch, comfortable and clean, the crew wonderful, friendly and helpful every step of the way. The diving itself was exceptional and well planned. The two highlights are the dive masters/guides Hitham and Ahmed who were both exceptional not only on local knowledge but highly safety oriented and also helped develop my dive skills a bit further. We knew we were in good hands every step of the way. The other unexpected highlight was the quality of the food. I’m a foodie and was blown away by the quality of the food we were served every meal. A true chef’s kiss to the boat’s chef Mohamed - I’d come back just to eat! Thank you Al Suraya team for a wonderful dive experience and holiday.

This was my first live aboard and my experience couldn’t be better.
The food was just amazing I never could imagine to eat like this in a boat, literally much better than in any hotel or restaurant.
The guides were very professional but at the same time very friendly. We had amazing dives and they knew all the places so well you didn’t miss a thing.
The crew were always there to help you with a big smile and making sure you were okey at all times. Thank you to all the team really wish you the best

Our stay on the Alsuraya was fantastic from start to finish! The dive guides and crew were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The kitchen crew truly made our week on the boat unforgettable with amazing dinners, taking the experience to the next level. Chef Mohammed's lava cake is a must-try and an unforgettable treat! 😊
