I have been on several liveaboards before, and Asuraya definitely stands out as one of the best organised ones I have experienced. Michelle was also extremely responsive to my last minute booking.
Safety is clearly a top priority. The briefings were very detailed and professional, which made us feel well prepared and safe throughout the trip. The whole operation was extremely well organised, both on board and during the dives.
The cabins were very clean and comfortable. I stayed in a cabin with a bunk bed, which was admittedly quite small, but very tidy and well organised. It was cleaned every single day, which was a really nice touch.
The absolute highlight, however, was the food. Honestly, it was on a star-level! From tuna steak and carpaccio to tiramisu and crème brûlée - every meal was delicious and far beyond what I would normally expect on a liveaboard. I also really appreciated that the crew clearly pays attention to avoiding food waste.
The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and professional without ever being intrusive. Dive groups were generally around 5–8 divers per guide.
Another great feature is the tenders. Compared with the other liveaboards in the region, Asuraya's dinghies are equipped with two outboard engines, which is a great advantage and makes getting to and from the dive sites very comfortable and efficient.
A few small suggestions for improvement: breakfast could be a little more varied, although the buffet itself was good and having freshly prepared eggs was a definite plus. Also, the fresh juices and mocktails served every day were fantastic - please consider replacing the plastic straws with a more sustainable alternative. Finally, I believe the rental selection currently mainly offers 5 mm full-length wetsuits. Having shorties available, especially for the summer season, would be a great addition.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend Asuraya. Great organisation, excellent diving, outstanding food and a genuinely attentive crew. I would happily come back! :)

We’ve just returned from an incredible 2-week BDE route aboard Alsuraya, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was absolutely exceptional.
A huge thank you to the entire crew, but especially Chef Mohamed, who was simply incredible. The food was, without a doubt, the best we have ever experienced on a liveaboard. Every meal was delicious, varied, beautifully prepared, and something we genuinely looked forward to every day. Five stars don’t even do the food justice!
A special mention has to go to Ahmed, the cruise director and guide. He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. His knowledge, professionalism and passion for diving were exceptional, but what really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about everyone on board. He was always there to help, always approachable, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Ahmed is a credit to Alsuraya and a huge part of what made this trip so special.
One thing that really stood out to us was the impeccable safety standards on Alsuraya. At sea, feeling safe and looked after is incredibly important, and the crew were professional, attentive and thorough throughout the entire two weeks. It gave us complete peace of mind to simply relax and enjoy the diving.
The boat itself, the crew, the diving, the food and the overall organisation were all first class. You can tell that the team genuinely cares about giving their guests an unforgettable experience.
For us, Alsuraya is without question the BEST liveaboard in the Red Sea. We’ve been on liveaboards before, but this experience has set a completely new standard.

Ich hatte eine fantastische Zeit an Bord der Alsuraya und kann sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
Von Anfang bis Ende war die Crew professionell, aufmerksam und bot durchweg exzellenten Service. Alles war bestens organisiert, und das Team war stets hilfsbereit und freundlich. Ein besonderes Lob gebührt dem Koch, der während der gesamten Reise einfach großartig war. Jede Mahlzeit war köstlich, abwechslungsreich und offensichtlich mit viel Liebe zubereitet.
Auch die Tauchausrüstung war sehr gut, inklusive eines praktischen Nitrox-Nachfüllservices. Die Zodiacs waren in exzellentem Zustand und ermöglichten eine angenehme und komfortable An- und Abreise zu den Tauchplätzen.
Wir haben zwar nicht so viele Hochseefische gesehen, wie wir gehofft hatten, aber die Korallenriffe waren in einem wirklich wunderschönen Zustand. Wir reisten im August, als das Wasser extrem warm war, und die Korallen waren definitiv eines der Highlights der Reise. Insgesamt kann ich die Alsuraya uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es war eine hervorragend organisierte Tauchsafari mit einer tollen Crew, exzellentem Essen, guter Ausrüstung und einem sehr schönen Taucherlebnis. Ich plane bereits, in den kälteren Monaten wiederzukommen, da dann hoffentlich die Chancen höher sind, mehr Haie und andere pelagische Fische zu sehen.

Die Al Suraya war meine erste Tauchsafari, und sie war einfach traumhaft. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
Mein Freund und ich haben die BDE-Tour im September gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Tauchgänge waren fantastisch, die Riffe unglaublich gesund und es gab unzählige Fische, große wie kleine.
Auch die Tauchguides haben einen super Job gemacht. Wir haben uns jederzeit sicher gefühlt, sowohl über als auch unter Wasser. Das Boot ist modern, sehr gut gepflegt und in einem Top-Zustand. Es war deutlich zu spüren, dass Sicherheit für das Team oberste Priorität hat, wodurch wir uns während der gesamten Reise sehr wohl gefühlt haben.
Die Crew hat alles dafür getan, dass wir uns willkommen und wohl fühlten. Und das Essen war außergewöhnlich gut! Jeden Tag gab es eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten, und wir waren von der Qualität wirklich beeindruckt.
Alles in allem war es ein fantastisches Erlebnis, und ich würde sehr gerne wiederkommen. Ich kann die Al Suraya jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der eine großartige Tauchsafari im Roten Meer erleben möchte!
